I have got a question to ask some of you, “Why don’t you wear your Sunday best anymore”? In many religions there are rules and guides on how to dress to their place of worship, nobody goes to the holy ground dressed like they just rolled out of bed. Many scholars have attributed this decline in how well we dress to church due to the misconception of the verse in the bible that says “Come as you are”. Now I wouldn’t go deep into trying to explain this term but I would briefly say if you would normally dress to kill when you are headed to a dinner event or a job interview then you must simply be on your Sunday best if you are headed to church.

This sad state of affairs has to stop, for Sunday service you must put on the best cloth (modest) you have, the term Sunday best didn’t just fall from the sky, the early Christians always kept their best cloths for the Sunday service, they would wash and straighten it and make sure it was spic and span so ladies you don’t have an excuse, no more strolling into church with raggedy old clothes or flip flops, no more rumpled cloths its time to fall in love with yourself and this includes dressing appropriately to church. In my opinion it is only when you loath yourself that you would dress like you just crawled out of the gutter when there are so many options you have in your wardrobe.
