Hausa brides and their traditional wedding style is one of the interesting wedding traditions in Nigeria. Hausa is a tribe with very rich cultures and traditions especially when it comes to the way they conduct their weddings.
A northern bride is always the cynosure of all eyes, in fact their brides are super magnificent. From the wedding dress which is always slaying and stunning to the display of gold accessories, diamonds, and nowadays beaded jewelry they are definitely a site to behold.
For their traditional bridal look, Northern brides are known for dressing up elegantly in their wedding outfits and will not be deemed fit or complete without their legs and hands artistically painted with the local-made liquid fluid known as Henna. Henna tattoos are non-permanent dying or staining on the top layer of skin using a henna paste product. This is used to beautify the hands and feet of the bride to make her appear absolutely gorgeous on her big day.
Most Hausa traditional brides are always well covered on their wedding day, their head is properly wrapped with a turban or sometimes the gele head-tie and then a veil is placed over the gele/turban. Their faces are also well made up with subtle make up, nothing loud but absolutely flawless.
