#NYFW2016 – BRANDON MAXWELL’S CLEAN CUTS & MUTED TONES ARE MY FAVE RUNWAY PIECES YET!
Brandon Maxwell showcased his third runway collection on Tuesday during the New York Fashion Week. Maxwell, who rose to prominence in the fashion industry as Lady Gaga’s stylist has, with this new collection and his recent achievements, sealed himself firmly in the fashion scene.
From being shortlisted for the 2016 LVMH Prize, and then going on to win the CFDA Swarovski Award for Womenswear, Brandon Maxwell’s rise in the industry is one which he has obviously worked for. Apart from his muse Lady Gaga, Brandon has also dressed the First Lady Of the United States of America, twice, one of which is on the October cover of InStyle Magazine.
For his brand’s Spring Summer 2017 collection, Brandon made use of three major colour hues – Green, Black and White. He showcased clean cut designs, flared hems, tailored matching pieces, elaborated flared pants, sexy lingerie inspired shift dresses and corsets that are perfect for cocktails and elaborate dinners.
I would say this is my fave collection shown at the NYFW so far for the simple reason that I can’t seem to fault any of the pieces showcased on the runway.
Take a look!
