CORPORATE ATTIRE: ANKARA FEATURE
As career women there are two things that are very important, one is your skill (what you bring to the table) and two is your appearance. Appearance is very important because its what gives the people you meet for the first time the impression that you know exactly what you are doing. Most women however do not understand the need to look the part that they play, they neglect their looks hence important missions would pass them by because management would feel that they cannot represent the company even though it is clear that they know what they are doing.
The need to look good takes the fore front in corporate environments, however today I am taking it up a notch. Sometimes taking the bull by the horn is what you need to establish change. In many corporate offices our appearances are riddled with rules and regulations; We may or may not follow this rules but depending on how strict the rules on corporate attire is you may not have a choice, however since you know how your work environment works you can begin to change the perception of ‘English Dressing’ by opting for more african inspire corporate attire.
Ankara corporate attires are whats in vogue and rightly so if you ask me, many africans have begin to open their eyes to the need to dress “African”. We have been greatly influenced by the western world hence many of us are beginning to fight to maintain what we’ve owned as our tradition and culture. The Ankara fabric is full of motifs and designs that represents who we are as Africans, therefore we must begin to slowly push out the unnecessary part of westernization and we can start that with Ankara corporate attires.
