ANKARA + DENIM: KELECHIK STYLE INSPIRATION

Denim is a part of our lives, we can’t seem to do without it; an instance is the fact that I got myself a new pair of jeans just yesterday. Whether its denim pants or denim skirt or dress it really doesn’t matter the fabric is just perfect and we always want more. Ankara is another fabric that africans can’t do without, the different style, designs and patterns give us life and as you already know it reminds us of our various culture. Each Ankara fabric design has a story to tell, there is a story behind it all and that’s what we live for.

In african fashion just a few years back, the idea of pairing an Ankara blouse or vice versa with anything non-Ankara was absurd. People actually went on to say so, fashion enthusiast would never have been caught dead with the mix but now just a few years down the line, it is a different tale entirely.
