ANKARA TREND ALERT; PUFFY SLEEVES

It’s no secret that exaggerated sleeves are in right now–whether they’re being exposed, emphasized or exaggerated, they’re the season’s main attraction. This season, we’ve seen the best of sleeves with the different trends of voluminous sleeves that graced the fashion scene.

Voluminous sleeves are not to be kept at arm’s length anymore, they are the most prominent trend these days. A common one we’ve seen lately is the Ankara puffy sleeves, though it has been around since the 70s. Puffy sleeves are a girl’s best friend. We are familiar with the off-the-shoulder trend, but several designers incorporated a touch of volume to many sleeves to create the puffy sleeves.

Some styles of these Ankara puffed sleeves billowed most at the upper arm, while others billowed out at the elbow, or even puffed out from the shoulder and tapered all the way to the wrist. Depending on the style of puff, your outfit may look feminine, retro or modern so you must select ones that fit your fashion preferences.
