BLACK GIRLS ROCK AWARDS 2017: BEST RED CARPET LOOKS

The BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Inc. is a non-profit youth empowerment and mentoring organization established to promote arts for young women of color, as well as to encourage dialogue and analysis of ways women of color are portrayed in the media. The BLACK GIRLS ROCK Awards were created by Beverly Bond in 2006 to celebrate Black women who are trailblazers, change makers or dynamos in their respective fields.

On Saturday, 5th of August, some major celebrities gathered at New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark to celebrate the accomplishments of black entertainers, philanthropists, business owners and others at the Black Girls Rock 2017 event.

The event was hosted by the beautiful Taraji P.Henson and featured performances from SZA, Anthony Hamilton and more.
