Essence Fashion House: Support These Black Swimwear Brands Celebrating All Body Types

Not only is Essence Fashion House the hub at Essence Festival 2019 for prime style content, but we are also hosting a weekend full of fashion shows from well-known designers of color.

Four swimwear brands showed their most recent summer collections Friday and sent models down the runway of all body-types.

Diva Kurves constructed the words “Slim Thick” on their one-piece swimsuits, featuring bright colors and mesh. B. Fyne took a more traditional approach, creating swimwear pieces and coordinating head wraps in African garments. Asherah Swimwear hit the nail on the head with the animal print trend, and Truffle perfected the combination of tie-dye and stripes.
