NYFW: Black Models Closed Out Fashion Week With A Bang At Marc Jacobs
POPS OF COLORS SPEARHEADED THE COLLECTION.
With New York Fashion Week coming to an end, that didn’t stop industry insiders from showing up to support designer, Marc Jacobs. Most know, that when attending a Marc Jacobs show you’re in for theatric looks with a modern concept.
This go-round Jacobs honed in on ruffles and western for his Spring/Summer 2020 collection. His approach to the western trend featured printed kimonos or a chic power suit paired with a cowboy hat. Jacobs also put an inventive twist on ruffles by creating color-blocking mini dresses. And while the designer is known for pulling in ruling supermodels like Bella and Gigi Hadid, the black models stole the show this season. Each walked down the runway in glistening colors with hues of orange and red complementing their skin.
Marc Jacobs was just named to Vanity Fair’s 2019 Best-Dressed List, and this collection showed that the designer is all about having fun and playing with colors.
