A Melanin Dripping Tiwa Savage Lands A Feature On Billboard Magazine

Unless you’ve been living under a rock since the beginning of this year, you’ll be familiar with Tiwa Savage‘s Universal Music record deal. In fact, like us, you’ll probably be obsessed with her and her newest single.

Also along with international fame and recognition comes lots and lots of magazine covers. The musician was recently tapped to feature in Billboard magazine – and has just shared the images.

Photographed by South African photographer Trevor Stuurman in Lagos, Tiwa appears in the US magazine drenched in body oil topless, wearing only gold arm cuffs and Spanx. Another image sees the singer posing on the beach, wearing all-white and headpiece made from cowries.

The recent Motown Records signee discussed authenticity in African music, her plans for a stateside crossover and what Beyonce got right about Afrobeats on the ‘Lion King’ soundtrack with the magazine.
