Ayo Van Elmar Delivers A Sleek Collection For SS2020 Featuring Michelle Dede And Elizabeth Oputa

Ayo Van Elmar continues to make headway into Afrocentric womenswear with a robust Spring/Summer 2019 “Salt” collection featuring Nollywood star, Michelle Dede and digital entrepreneur Elizabeth Oputa.

Combining bold prints and patterns, this season’s performance looks combined an “array of starkly contrasting palettes, experimental fusions, diverse cuts and sheer pieces unfold in a synergy of togetherness.”

Meanwhile, creative director Ayo Elizabeth Olaogun created the collection by incentivising the imaginative moments she had on the black shores of the Spanish Islands. According to her watching the sunset, gazing at the beauty of light hitting the salt lakes and studying the reflecting rays and observed light bouncing off the salt beds motivated her choice of the deep, vivid and vibrant colours.

Comprised of flared pants, jackets and flowing skirts, this clothing range wears its legacy influences proudly in the form of colour blocking and geometric designs.
