Odio Mimonet Teams Up With Mayyisah For A Printastic Turban Collection

Following the success of her SS20 collection, Odio Mimonet who recently celebrated her 24 years of being in the fashion industry continues to expand her portfolio of collaborations with her latest launch.

The Nigerian Haute Couture designer and bespoke Turban brand Mayyisah have joined forces to create a stunning turban collection tagged Odio Mimonet X Mayyisah Collection.

The joint collaboration stays true to both brands esthetics while being aimed at uplifting other women, helping them and encouraging them in business.

According to the designer, her collaborative friendship with Mayyisah has come a long way and during the early years of the Odio Mimonet brand, Mayyisah was an amazing muse to work with.

“I chose the brand Mayyisah because of the detailing, the twists and because it blended with the unusual which is what you’ll expect with Odio Mimonet pieces,” the creative director tells Haute Couture Africa.

She continues, “It is amazing. It’s our prints, our fabrication, it’s how I’ll like to see a woman style her hair, it’s different, it’s definitely quirky and has the Odio Mimonet ethos. I think everyone should check it out, it’s something we’ll all love.”

Just like the Odio Mimonet ethos which is detailed and juxtaposes culture, this collection is a great extension of their fashion sense and a celebration of the African heritage.
