THE HAUSA FULANI WEDDING OF AISHA AND ABDUL
One of the best traditions that have been preserved by the Hausa is their marriage ceremony. The traditional marriage of most northerners is mostly based on the Islamic rites and not as time consuming or money consuming like the Igbo and Yoruba traditional marriage events. The Hausa culturally rich marriage event usually last about a week, which ends with the main wedding reception.
That was exactly the case of the Hausa wedding of Aisha and Abdul which started up with a grand Abuja wedding and ended with a grand destination wedding reception in Dubai. It was a colorful and beautiful destination wedding for the beautiful couple, who met in Dubai and also returned there with their family and friends to say their wedding vows.
Aisha was the golden bride as she was dressed in two outfits; an embellished gold iro and buba aso oke and a shimmering gold mermaid dress. Her make up was done by Jide of Stola and henna by Amaryadotcom. Abdul was the charming groom in matching babaringa which matched with his bride’s. He switched up his look with a cream babaringa to compliment with his golden bride.
