Just ask Jeremy Scott, who turned up the volume on a bubblegum Space Age collection on Thursday evening that was far trippier and surreal than any of the stuff you see on CNN. “It’s fun clothes, party clothes, fun things, joy,” he said backstage, flanked by Gigi Hadid in a pink wig like the one Britney wore in 2008, candyfloss leggings and a reflective silver dungaree skirt styled over “the bra hoodie, my new creation,” a boned bustier morphed with a hooded sweatshirt henceforth known as the broodie. “She’s like a cyber Barbie,” Scott concluded, and so, his galactic cartoon-iverse was off to a flying start, with all the trimmings.
