Here’s How AshillaRozae Wants To Empower Stylish Working Women
After her debut collection in 2016, AshillaRozae has returned with “Encore”, joining the long list of designers with a female empowerment cause. In this new Autumn/Winter 19 offering, the Nigerian Student Fashion And Design Week winning-label challenge the expectations of what women’s work-wear should be.
According to Creative Director, Rosie E. Jacobs, the collection is a “reference to the seamless duality of style, elegance, and creativity.” In other words, it caters to professional women with big business/career goals, who desire to feel beautiful, dynamic and powerful in work and social spaces.
With feminism as one of the leading topics in the world today, Jacobs felt the need to support stylish working women by sending a “strong visual message” and the pieces are a testament of confidence as they boast several bold colours.
“My motivation being the need to empower more women with the confidence to get out there and break gender barriers to be the best they can be; because now more than ever, we need greater unity and collaboration amongst women to push past these limitations,” Jacobs explains.
